When a headstrong office worker and her married lover are carjacked by an unstable gunman, they must endure a deadly claustrophobic joyride through 1960s London.

DEAD MAN’S HILL is a contained thriller set entirely inside a car, where the audience will only be allowed to leave the car when hostage Valerie is allowed to. And when she's told to get out, we will want to follow.

Not just ‘based on true events’: this is true. Only superficial artistic license with the events of August 22nd 1960 - the night of the infamous 'A6 Murder' - mostly with imagined dialogue. The main source was Valerie’s unpublished court transcript, obtained personally by the writer from Bedford Archives. The script is designed to be a gripping exercise in tension and suspense - a Hitchcockian, noirish, pulse-pounding psychological thriller with a unique setting and philosophical themes exploring determinism and free will.
